People who contribute their time to MHAoPC greatly enrich our organization. Their help extends our impact within and around the county.
In fact, we couldn’t do our work with volunteers helping with special projects and program coordination.
If you’re interested in volunteering, please contact our office and we’ll get in touch to figure out where your passion and talent intersect with our current needs. We are always seeking volunteers to collaborate with community groups, work on staff projects, help with marketing and special events, and assisting with office/administrative tasks.
Volunteer Spotlight:
Bonner Scholars: Mental Health America of Putnam County is proud to collaborate with DePauw University’s Bonner Service program. We currently host three hard working undergraduate students whose diverse backgrounds and fields of study bring a fresh perspective and valuable contributions of time in maintaining our programs and support structure. They concentrate on social media, office management, and event coordination and support.
PIE Student Volunteers: Our Puppet Power puppeteers are selected from Putnam County’s PIE (Prevention, Intervention, and Education) coalition. This group represents all four county school districts, and often these high school volunteers get to work in the schools they attended as a small child. Both the high school and elementary students enjoy interacting during our Puppet Power plays. Read more here about this amazing program!
