Mental Health America of Putnam County is governed by a board of compassionate indviduals.

Meet the Board

Established in 1952,  Mental Health America  of Putnam County (MHAPC) is a not-for-profit organization and agency of the United Way. It is an affiliate of Mental Health America of Indiana. (MHAI), the largest mental health association in the United States.

The goal of MHAPC is to erase the stigma of mental illness and to provide mental health education throughout Putnam County. To accomplish this, MHAPC acts as a resource to individuals seeking information  and by providing programs to educate the community in an effort to prevent and combat mental illness, while promoting mental wellness.

All programs and activities of MHAPC are made possible through memberships, direct contributions, United Way allocations, private gifts, fundraisers and the generous donation of time by MHAPC volunteers.
